The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection got to sea first. Evrima made her maiden voyage in October 2022, years ahead of Four Seasons or Orient Express, and the line now runs three yachts. One thing worth knowing before the name does its work on you: the operating companies use the Ritz-Carlton marks under licence and say plainly, in their own site footer, that they are not an affiliate of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company or Marriott. The service standard is real. The corporate relationship is a licence.
Evrima is the small one — 190 metres, 149 suites, up to 298 guests, five restaurants and six lounges. Ilma and Luminara are the 241-metre sisters: Ilma has 224 suites, Luminara 226, with five restaurants, seven bars and a wine vault. Every suite in the fleet has its own private terrace, which is the detail that separates these hulls from most of what floats. Most voyages run seven to ten nights, with a lot of overnight calls in port.
The fare is drawn generously but not totally. Dining, beverages, personalised service, Wi-Fi, entertainment and gratuities are in, and so are the water toys off the Marina when the yacht is at anchor in a port that allows it. Shore excursions, spa treatments and flights sit outside it, and specialty dining can carry a reservation and an additional fee. That is the honest dividing line between this line and Regent Seven Seas, where excursions and air sit inside the fare.
It suits people who want hotel-brand comfort without ship formality. The daytime code is yacht casual; indoor dining venues ask for what the line calls yacht sophisticated, where a collared shirt is recommended rather than required. Children are welcome from six months. The Marina opens onto the sea at anchor, and all three yachts are available for private charter.

Evrima
October 2022 · 149 suites, up to 298 guests
The first yacht and the smallest, at 190 metres. The line describes five restaurants and six lounges, The Ritz-Carlton Spa and an aft Marina. Currently published sailings put her in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Northern Europe and the Baltic, and the South Pacific out of Papeete and Honolulu from December 2026. Sailing now.
Ilma
2024 · 224 suites
The first of the two 241-metre sisters, and the workhorse of the Caribbean programme. Published sailings are Caribbean-heavy out of San Juan and Miami, with Mediterranean summers and transatlantic repositionings. Sailing now. The line publishes only the year for her debut, not a month.
Luminara
2025 · 226 suites
The newest, and on the line's own description the yacht with one of the highest space ratios per guest at sea: 226 suites with private terraces, two new upper suite categories the line puts at 1,000 square feet, five restaurants, seven bars, a wine vault and an expanded marina. She opened the line's Asia programme and carries Alaska. Sailing now. The line's About page still describes both sisters as 224-suite ships, while the yacht pages give Luminara 226.
The suites
The Terrace Suite
The entry category and, in the line's own words, the foundation for the amenities enjoyed by every suite category on board — private terrace, king-sized bed and double vanity. A Suite Ambassador comes with every suite, at every level.
The Signature Suite
A dining area, a separate seating area, the bedroom and a soaking tub. The sensible step up when the Terrace Suite feels tight for a long voyage.
The Grand Suite
Our usual recommendation for a couple on a ten-night voyage. Dual walk-in closets and a dining area, plus extra room on the terrace and in the living area — enough terrace to actually eat breakfast outside rather than perch.
The View Suite
Floor-to-ceiling windows and a terrace that runs the width of both the living area and the bedroom. The category to ask for when the view matters more than the floor area.
The Luminara Suite and The Residential Suite

The two upper categories new to Luminara, and the only suite figure the operator actually publishes. They sit above The View Suite and below Concierge and Owner's on her ladder.
The Concierge Suite
Second from the top on the newer sisters. Floor-to-ceiling glass onto the terrace, and the priority dining and spa booking windows that the line reserves for its higher categories.
The Owner's Suite
The top of the ladder, and the first thing to go on any popular departure. The line sells it on comfort, privacy and space rather than a published floor area — worth asking us for the current deck plan before you commit.
What the fare includes
The question every enquiry opens with. What follows is what the line itself publishes as included — we confirm it against your exact sailing before you commit.

On board
The Marina and Marina Terrace
The reason people choose a yacht over a ship. It opens directly onto the sea, with kayaks, paddleboards and the rest of the water toys complimentary while at anchor in select ports; the terrace sits just above it. Luminara's is the expanded version.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa
Massages, facials and treatments, plus sauna, steam room, quiet zone and a full-service salon. Treatments carry an additional fee and are not part of the fare. Guests must be 18 or over to use the spa and wellness facilities, and it is worth reserving before you board.
S.E.A.
Evrima's specialty restaurant on Deck 6, designed by Chef Sven Elverfeld — an inspired European tasting menu. Reservations required and an additional fee applies, so it is not covered by the fare.
Seta Su Ilma / Seta Su Luminara
The Italian restaurant on each of the two sisters, created with Chef Fabio Trabocchi — handmade pastas, prime cuts and fresh seafood. Named for the yacht it sits on, so book it by the right name.
Beach House
Chef Michael Mina's room on both sisters, but not the same menu twice: Pan-Latin on Ilma, Middle Eastern-inspired on Luminara. Craft beers, bold wines and an elevated tequila selection either way, with bright interiors opening onto the pool deck.
The Humidor
Cognacs, single malts and aged spirits in a small room at the end of the evening, and the only place on any of the three yachts where smoking is permitted.

Mediterranean
August into late October
The biggest single block on the calendar, and Evrima and Ilma carry all of it — Luminara has no Mediterranean sailings on the published schedule at all.
Caribbean
November to March
Ilma does the volume, Evrima a handful, out of San Juan and Miami, with Panama City and Aruba turning up as one-way ends. Holiday weeks price and sell first.
Alaska
August to September 2026, then late May to September 2027
Luminara, on Vancouver and Whittier turnarounds. The 2026 debut is a short one; 2027 is the first full-length season, so treat May and June as a 2027 question.
Asia
October to April
Luminara runs Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Bali, Phuket and Incheon for Seoul. This programme sells further ahead than anything else on the calendar.
Northern Europe and the Baltic
August 2026, then July to September 2027
Evrima, not Ilma — Reykjavik, London, Copenhagen and Stockholm, with Bordeaux and Lisbon on the way south. A small number of sailings, so this one closes early.
South Pacific
December to March
Evrima out of Papeete, with a few Honolulu crossings, from December 2026. Long flights either side, which is the part worth planning first.

Booking this line
Plan a year to eighteen months ahead for a Mediterranean summer or a Caribbean holiday week. The Owner's and Concierge suites go first, and Luminara's Asia season sells earliest of all. For two people on a ten-night voyage the Grand Suite is the sweet spot — the terrace is big enough to eat on. We hold the suite, get your dining, spa and excursion requests in as early as the line allows, and arrange flights, transfers and pre-cruise hotels separately, since none of that sits inside the fare.

What does the fare actually include?
The line's own summary is accommodation, dining, beverages, personalised service, Wi-Fi, entertainment, water sports and gratuities. In practice that also covers 24-hour in-suite dining, the Guest Launderette, PressReader newspapers and the enrichment programme. What it does not cover is shore excursions, spa and salon treatments, Ritz Kids sessions, dry cleaning and flights — and the specialty restaurants can carry a reservation and an additional fee of their own. Those are billed separately, which is the main difference from a line like Regent Seven Seas.
Which of the three yachts should we take?
Evrima if you want the smallest and most intimate — 149 suites, up to 298 guests, five restaurants and six lounges. Ilma or Luminara if you want more room and more venues; both are 241 metres, Ilma with 224 suites and Luminara with 226, five restaurants, seven bars and a wine vault. The itinerary usually decides it: Luminara has Asia and Alaska, Ilma the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, Evrima the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and French Polynesia.
When is the best time to sail?
Mediterranean from August into late October, Caribbean from November to March, Alaska in late summer 2026 and across a full season in 2027, Asia from October to April, and Northern Europe in a short high-summer window. Most voyages run seven to ten nights with a good number of overnight calls, so a single week gives you real time ashore rather than a string of half-days.
Are shore excursions included?
No. The line sells Pre-Designed Excursions, Custom Private Excursions and Group Excursions separately. Pre-designed and custom private ones can be reserved any time once you have a booking number; select group excursions open 120 days before sailing in My Yacht Account. Dining and spa reservations have no published 120-day gate — the line simply recommends booking well ahead, because inventory is limited.
Why book through Via Privata rather than direct?
Because the work sits either side of the fare. We hold the suite while you decide, get dining, spa and excursion requests in the moment each window opens, and build the flights, transfers and pre- or post-cruise hotel around the sailing — none of which the fare covers. We quote live rather than publishing figures, since suite, season and itinerary move the number substantially. All three yachts are also available for private charter if you are taking the whole hull.
