Oceania Cruises: Ships, staterooms and 2027 sailings
The food-first line · Seven ships · Oceania Sonata from August 2027
Oceania is the line people choose for the restaurants: every specialty dining room is in the fare, on ships carrying 1,200 to 1,250 guests.
The fleet runs in three sizes. Oceania Vista (2023), where every room has a veranda, and her sister Oceania Allura (2025) carry 1,200 guests; Oceania Marina (2011) and Oceania Riviera (2012) carry 1,250; and the smaller Insignia, Nautica and Sirena have around 340 rooms each. Oceania Sonata, the first of a new class for 1,390 guests, debuts in August 2027, and Oceania Aurelia joins the fleet in November 2027.
Under Oceania's Your World Included, the fare covers every specialty restaurant, shipboard gratuities, Starlink Wi-Fi for two devices per room, soft drinks, specialty coffee, still and sparkling water, and 24-hour room service. Each booking then chooses one more: wine and beer by the glass at lunch and dinner, or a shore excursion credit. Beyond that, drinks, excursions and La Reserve are paid.
We place Oceania a step below the all-inclusive lines because these are larger ships, some of them sell inside and ocean-view rooms, there is a casino, and the drinks are not included in full. Where Oceania puts its effort is the food: Jacques, named for its founding culinary director Jacques Pépin, the Polo Grill steakhouse, Toscana, Red Ginger, and a hands-on cooking school on the four larger ships.
Since January 2026 Oceania accepts only guests aged 18 and over on new bookings, and it says plainly that there is no youth programming. The evening code is elegant casual, with a jacket optional. For the reader who travels for the table, this is the line we put forward first in this tier.

Oceania's website shows each visitor the fares for their own region, and the fares it showed us were for guests resident in Asia, which are not the fares a US or European guest books. So no fare is printed here: tell us where you are booking from and the dates, and we quote Oceania's fare for your country with the categories still open.
Booking this line
Book the Concierge Level or a Penthouse Suite if the budget allows: the Concierge Lounge and the spa terrace start at Concierge Level, the butler at Penthouse. Choose the ship as carefully as the route, because the three smaller ships and the two Vista-class ships are different experiences. We place the room, and handle flights and hotels either side.
Questions, answered
What is the best Oceania Cruises booking offer?
Judge any offer on what reaches you per suite. Booking through Via Privata, sailings of USD 40,000 or more carry a USD 1,500 onboard credit from us, on top of whatever the line itself is running for your dates and the consortium amenities the sailing qualifies for — at the same fare you would pay booking direct. Select sailings also carry Virtuoso Voyages hosted benefits (registration required; what is included varies by sailing), and below USD 40,000 those are what booking through us adds. We confirm in writing exactly which benefits your dates carry before you commit.
What does an Oceania fare include?
Under Your World Included: every specialty restaurant, shipboard gratuities, Starlink Wi-Fi for two devices per room, soft drinks, specialty coffee and teas, still and sparkling water, juices and gelato, 24-hour room service and free launderettes. Each booking also picks one of two extras: wine and beer by the glass at lunch and dinner, or a shore excursion credit. Other drinks, excursions and La Reserve are extra.
Why is Oceania in your premium tier?
The ships are bigger than the all-inclusive lines we list above it, 1,200 to 1,250 guests on the newer four, several ships sell inside or ocean-view rooms, there is a casino, and drinks beyond the lunch-and-dinner choice are paid. The kitchen is the reason to go: the specialty restaurants are included, and the four larger ships have a cooking school.
Is Oceania adults only?
On new bookings, yes. Since 7 January 2026 Oceania accepts only guests aged 18 or over at embarkation, and it has no youth programming or facilities. Bookings made before then that include younger guests are honoured.
Which Oceania ship should we choose?
Vista or Allura if you want the newest ship and a veranda in every room. Marina or Riviera for the same restaurant line-up and the cooking school on a slightly older ship. Insignia, Nautica or Sirena, at around 340 rooms, for the long Grand Voyages and smaller ports. Sonata, for 1,390 guests, sails from August 2027.
