Yachts & Voyages

Book the cruise direct, or through an advisor?

The fare is the same either way. What changes is what comes on board, and who looks after the voyage.

Seven Seas Navigator, a Regent ship, under way in the Bay of Kotor beneath the mountains, a town along the shore

What comes with the fare

When the booking is ours, the same fare comes with the following.

Relaxation room of the spa on a Ritz-Carlton yacht, daybeds facing open glass doors onto a deck and the sea

Benefits on every sailing

Virtuoso amenities through our host agency Fora Travel, and something from us on any sailing without them.

Dining room aboard a Crystal ship, tables set with folded napkins beneath a latticed ceiling lantern

A credit of our own on larger voyages

USD 1,500 per suite from Via Privata on any booking of USD 40,000 or more.

Bedroom of an Owner's Suite on a Ritz-Carlton yacht, a white bed facing the living room and a terrace over the sea

The right suite, held while you decide

Chosen by deck, position and category, before the best ones sell through.

Evrima, the Ritz-Carlton yacht, lit at dusk off a hillside town whose lights are coming on

The hotels either side, as one journey

Nights before and after, at the hotel's own rate, with the hotel benefits attached.

Every booking leaves with something on board. Virtuoso amenities depend on the sailing and the fare you book, and the line’s own offers apply as it publishes them; a sailing with no amenity of its own gets something from us. The exact set is confirmed in writing before you book.

The voyage, taken care of.

The sailing, the suite and the hotels on either side, planned and managed personally. Amenities on board, without a membership or a fee from Via Privata.

Continuity

One named advisor holds the booking from deposit to final payment, and stays involved when the line changes an itinerary.

Judgement

Which line, which ship, which deck: a reasoned recommendation across every line we book, from the hotel-brand yachts to expedition, not only the one you searched.

Relationships

Through our host agency, Fora Travel, and Virtuoso, the line's trade desk knows the booking is ours: amenities, holds and waitlists.

Clarity

No membership, planning or booking fee from Via Privata on cruises and the hotels around them. The line pays us, not you.

Albina Sharapova, founder of Via Privata

How this is possible

Book direct and you get exactly one thing: the suite, at the fare everyone pays. The shipboard credit, the held suite and the hotels on either side never arrive, because nobody arranged them.

Cruise lines have long sold most of their suites through travel advisors, and the advisor’s commission is built into every fare whether an advisor is involved or not. Book direct and the line simply keeps it. Book through us and the line pays us instead, the Virtuoso amenities reach you through our host agency, Fora Travel, and the fare stays the line’s own, to the dollar.

That is the whole model: the same booking, made the right way, by an advisor who reads the deck plan before you do and adds a credit of her own on the larger voyages. The same logic applies to hotels.

“I check the live fare and which suites are still open, hold the one that fits, and put the fare, the benefits and the deposit terms on one page before anything is booked.”

Albina Sharapova, founder of Via Privata
