Four Seasons opened this one in January 2017 as Ten Trinity Square; the operator now lists it as Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge. The building is the reason to come. Edwin Cooper finished it in 1922 as the Port of London Authority headquarters, Aukett Swanke handled the conversion and 4BI & Associates the interiors.
Eighty-nine of the hundred keys are rooms and only eleven are suites, so the category decides more here than at a larger house. Superior Rooms start at 28 square metres; the thirty-four Executive Rooms are the sensible middle; the Royal Garden Suite at 175 is the top of the hotel, and thirty-five residences are counted separately from it.
We book it for clients who want the City and the river rather than the Mayfair shopping streets, and for anyone who would rather have a landmark than a lobby scene. Spring and December are the two windows. Cooper's Cut and Mei Ume are worth reserving with the room.
