The Privata Perspective

Four Seasons Hong Kong opened in September 2005 inside the International Finance Centre, which makes it the most useful address in the city: the Airport Express is downstairs and Central is at the door. Three hundred and ninety-nine keys, a figure that excludes the residences upstairs.

It is a dining hotel first. Caprice holds three Michelin stars and Lung King Heen two, with Noi by Paulo Airaudo and a Sushi Saito counter alongside them and Argo for the bar. Very few hotels anywhere carry this much on a single floorplate, and it changes what the stay is for.

The rooms to book are the harbour-facing ones; the difference between a Deluxe Harbour-View Room and a city outlook is most of the reason to be here. October to December is the clear season. We reserve Caprice and Lung King Heen at the same time as the room, because both of them go early and neither holds tables back for hotel guests.
