The Privata Perspective
Four Seasons runs two hotels in central Tokyo, and this is the newer and the higher of them. It opened in September 2020 on the top six floors of the 39-storey Otemachi One Tower, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill on the architecture and Jean-Michel Gathy on the interiors. The Imperial Palace grounds sit directly below, and the hotel has direct access to Otemachi Station, served by five subway lines.
Aspect decides the stay. The entry Superior categories are both 49 square metres and split only by what the window holds, city or skyline; the Deluxe rooms add a few metres and, in thirty-five of them, the palace gardens. That garden side is what people remember, and it costs less than a suite.
We book it for clients who want Tokyo from above and a short walk to Tokyo Station, and we book late March for the blossom or November for the maples. est and PIGNETO are reserved when the room is, not on arrival.

Jean-Michel Gathy designed the Infuse Spa lobby, where a 3D paper structure billows off the wall, and five private treatment rooms follow, one of them for couples. Treatments are Japanese-influenced and natural. The 20-metre indoor heated pool sits alongside.
