The Privata Perspective
Sabi Sand is where Singita started. Ebony opened in 1993 and was fully redesigned inside in April 2024, gaining a tented dining pavilion, a wine cellar relocated to a deck above the Sand River, and a bar-deli. Boulders, the sister lodge on the same river, is the glass-walled one — twelve suites that read cooler and more architectural than Ebony's antique-filled rooms. Castleton is a different proposition again: six cottages taken as one house for up to twelve, with a private guide, vehicle and chef.
Big-game density is why people come, and leopard sightings are frequent. Who it is not for: families with young children set on Boulders, which takes ages ten and over only. Ebony welcomes all ages and has two family suites, and Castleton suits a multi-generational group best.

Spa & Wellness
Ebony and Boulders each have a wellness and fitness centre — Singita brands neither, so there is no "Singita Spa" as such. Treatments are shaped around how you want to feel by the end of the session, with sound therapy and yoga on request. Castleton has its own fitness centre, yoga pavilion and massage rooms, plus a tennis court and a pool over the dam.

Dry winter: thin bush, game concentrated at water, and the strongest viewing of the year

Green season — newborn game and birding, but thicker bush and afternoon storms
