The Privata Perspective

Singita's Kruger holding is two lodges sharing one 33,000-acre private concession inside the national park. Lebombo is fifteen glass-walled suites on the ridge above the N'wanetsi; Sweni is seven suites down in the riverine forest. Same concession, different moods — Lebombo is the more social, with the Long Bar and the Winter Lounge, and came out of a 2026 refurbishment that moved the interiors from cool grey to warm brown. Sweni is smaller and deliberately quieter.

The concession is the point: private traversing rights inside Kruger mean sightings are not shared with a queue of other operators' vehicles. Rates cover meals, drinks and twice-daily drives, and spa treatments are billed separately. Not right for you if you want a named restaurant and a formal branded spa — Singita publishes neither here.

Accommodations

Lebombo Suite

Thirteen glass-walled loft-style suites on the ridge, with elevated wooden decks where you can sleep out under a mosquito net

Two-Bedroom Suite, Lebombo

Two of them, each with a private plunge pool and river views, sleeping four — the only Lebombo accommodation that takes a family

Sweni Suite

Six open-plan suites in the riverine forest, each with two bathrooms and an outdoor shower over the water

Dining

Long Bar

Bar

Lebombo's named bar in the main lodge, refinished in the 2026 refurbishment in a putty-coloured veined marble

Winter Lounge

Fireside lounge

Lebombo's named drinks and social space, reoriented in 2026 so the wine cellar now faces it

Main lodge dining

Contemporary regional South African

Singita names no restaurant at either lodge — dining is in the main lodge, on the deck or out in the bush, and is all-inclusive

Spa & Wellness

Singita publishes no spa name for either lodge; both amenities pages say only that spa and fitness centre facilities are available, alongside a swimming pool in the main lodge area. Wellness and yoga are listed as activities at both.

When to Go

May–Sep

Dry winter, sparse bush and concentrated game — the strongest months here

Oct–Apr

Summer rains bring green landscapes, migrant birds and newborn animals, with thicker cover
