Singita Pamushana Lodge
Private access to the 115,000-acre Malilangwe reserve — owned by a non-profit trust rather than a national park — holding one of Africa's highest concentrations of black rhino
The Privata Perspective
Pamushana is Singita's only property region in Zimbabwe, and it works differently from the rest of the group. The lodge sits on a sandstone ridge above Malilangwe Dam inside a 115,000-acre reserve owned by a non-profit trust rather than a national park, so access is private and vehicle numbers stay low. It holds one of Africa's highest concentrations of black rhino.
Eight suites, each with its own plunge pool, rebuilt inside in 2018 around references to Great Zimbabwe's stonework. Singita Malilangwe House alongside is a separate five-bedroom villa, exclusive-use only — not a room type of the lodge, though it is often described as one. Not for everyone: the logistics are real work, by charter or a thin scheduled service into Buffalo Range, and that is the main reason this reserve stays as quiet as it does.
Accommodations
One-Bedroom Suite
Four of the eight, each with a private plunge pool and a deck facing the Malilangwe Dam below the ridge
Two-Bedroom Family Suite
A master plus a smaller bedroom, sized by Singita for two adults and two children, with a private plunge pool
Singita Malilangwe House
A separate exclusive-use villa, five bedrooms each with its own deck, sleeping ten, with a cliff-edge rim-flow pool
Dining
Bar-deli
Alfresco light plates and drinks
The only dining space Singita names here — a cliff-top fire pit and bar-deli overlooking the dam
Main lodge dining
African-inspired
No published venue name across the lodge page, the amenities page or Singita's own brochure — dining is in the main lodge, on the terrace or in the bush
Malilangwe House private dining
Private chef
Exclusive-use guests eat where they choose, from an indoor dining area, the interactive kitchen or outdoors
Spa & Wellness
A spa and fitness centre in the main lodge area. singita.com carries no brand name for it — it is not a "Singita Spa" — and treatments can be taken there or in your own suite.
When to Go
May–Oct
Dry winter: game concentrates at the dam and rhino tracking is at its most reliable
