October to April is the season, when temperatures are comfortable for the desert, the mountains, and the coast; November to March is ideal. May to September is extremely hot across most of the country, though the far south around Salalah enjoys a unique monsoon-green season (the khareef) from June to September, when the hills turn improbably lush.
