The Privata Perspective
Desroches is a six-kilometre island in the Outer Amirantes, and Four Seasons has all of it — one resort, no second hotel, thirty-five minutes by air from Mahe. It opened in March 2018 to an Eco-ID Consulting design, and every key is a villa or a suite with its own pool, garden and direct beach access.
Position decides the stay, not floor area. The eighteen Ocean-View Pool Villas are the entry footprint at 191 square metres; the eighteen Beach Pool Villas take the largest standard footprint and put the sand at the door; nine Sunset-View Pool Villas and nine Sunset Beach Suites hold the west side for the evening.
We book it for honeymoons, for divers — diving and snorkelling run from the island itself — and for families who want one address instead of an island-hop. April–May and October–November are the calm windows; June to September brings the southeast trades. There is one Seven-Bedroom Presidential Villa and one Five-Bedroom Royal Villa, so groups book early.

The Circle of Connection Spa runs five treatment rooms, with organic treatments complemented by a full yoga programme — classes are held in the yoga pavilion or in your own villa. Products are Belliche, Knesko and TheraNaka. No spa floor area is published.
