Cheval Blanc's sixth Maison opened in December 2024 on Anse Intendance, a bay on Mahé's southwest coast, where it spans 22 hectares between jungle and ocean. Jean-Michel Gathy designed all 52 villas, 24 along the beach and 28 in the hills behind, every category, from the 220-square-metre Beach Villa to the 620-square-metre Beach Retreat Villa, has its own pool. Two named villas sit above that range: Villa Horizon, two bedrooms on stilts above the granite boulders, at 700 square metres including terraces and pool; and Villa Anse Intendance, five bedrooms for ten guests in 1,950 square metres on the same basis (3,730 with its gardens), with its own Guerlain spa, gym and 25-metre pool.
Five restaurants carry the kitchen side: Le 1947 for French fine dining on Wednesdays and Sundays, Mizumi for Japanese by a candlelit lake, Vivamento for Italian overlooking the pool, Sula for Mediterranean and Creole on the beach, and Le White for international classics at breakfast and dinner. The Cheval Blanc Spa sits in the jungle, with Guerlain treatments across eight rooms, and Le Carrousel takes children from 3 to 12. The MICHELIN Guide gives the Maison Two Keys.
Families with children under 12 should book on the beach: the Jungle, Ocean and Panorama Hill Villas and Villa Horizon take guests from 12 years old only. For couples, Panorama Hill Villa trades the sand for a view over the bay. For several families, Villa Anse Intendance keeps everyone under one roof, with a nanny's room, a children's pool and its own playground.
