Four Seasons Hotel Prague
Four joined buildings from the Baroque, neo-Classical, neo-Renaissance and modern eras, standing on the Vltava with the Charles Bridge in view
The Privata Perspective
Veleslavínova sits on the Old Town bank where the embankment meets the Charles Bridge. The hotel is four buildings joined into one house — Baroque of 1568, Classical of 1827, Renaissance of 1883, and a modern one dated 2001, the year it opened in February. Frank Nicholson Inc. and Pierre-Yves Rochon did the interiors.
The view decides the stay. A Modern Room is 33 square metres looking at the neo-Renaissance university building; a Premier River Room is 38 and faces the Vltava, Malá Strana and either the Castle or the bridge. Above them sit eight River Suites at 75, and a Royal Suite that runs from 200 to 372 square metres depending on the bedroom count.
We book it for clients who want the historic centre on foot and the river in the window. Spring and early autumn suit it best. MIRU, the rooftop Nikkei room, runs only from May to September and seats sixteen, so it is reserved when the room is booked, not on arrival.
