Four Seasons Hotel Doha
The centrepiece of the West Bay waterfront in Doha's financial district — seventeen storeys, five pools, two tennis courts, a beach club and Nobu
The Privata Perspective
Four Seasons Hotel Doha opened in April 2005 as the centrepiece of West Bay, and it is still the hotel the rest of the city is measured against. Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart & Stewart designed the seventeen-storey tower; Pierre-Yves Rochon did the interiors, in sea colours with mother-of-pearl inlay and Arabic motifs. Five pools, two tennis courts, a beach club, and a dining roster most capitals would envy.
The room decides the stay, and here it comes down to which way you face. Of the 180 guest rooms, 110 are Premier Sea-View — the same 44 m² as a Deluxe Room, a different hotel out of the window. Fifty-seven suites sit above them, up to the 484 m² Royal Suite.
We book it for Gulf stopovers that deserve more than one night, and for families, who take the pools and the Kids for All Seasons programme while the adults work through Nobu, Curiosa and Le Deli Robuchon. November to March is the season. Reserve Nobu when you book the room.
