The Privata Perspective
Riva degli Schiavoni is the waterfront east of St Mark's, and the Danieli holds its best stretch. The house is three palazzi joined by bridges — the 15th-century Dandolo, the 19th-century Casa Nuova, and the Danieli Excelsior of 1950 — and it reopened on 30 July 2026 as a Four Seasons, with Pierre-Yves Rochon on the restoration. The date is a rebrand, not a build.
It reopened with 120 rooms and suites; the Excelsior wing is still under restoration and takes that to 168 in 2027. View decides the stay, and the operator puts it in the category names — ten Premium Lagoon-View Rooms, nine Grand Lagoon-View Suites. Interior categories start small: a Superior Room is 22 to 27 square metres.
We book it for clients who want Venice from the water and want the building to matter — first-timers doing St Mark's properly, returners tired of inland palazzi. Spring and late autumn suit it best. The lagoon categories are requested when the room is booked, not on arrival.

Spa & Wellness
The Danieli Spa opens in late 2026, an intimate space overlooking the canal, worked around the themes of gold and water — transformation and purification. Three treatment rooms, one of them for couples, plus a sauna and a hammam. No floor area is published by the operator.
