The Privata Perspective
Venice's most serene grand hotel — three acres of gardens on Giudecca, a short private-launch ride from St Mark's, and the rare thing in this city: space. Founded by the man behind Harry's Bar, it is the home of the Bellini and still the address that Venice's regulars keep to themselves.
Peter Marino has been reworking it in phases between seasons: a double-height lobby and the first reimagined suites in 2025, then Dior Spa Hotel Cipriani in July 2026. The seawater pool is heated and filtered, and is the largest private pool in central Venice — the story Belmond tells is that an architectural mix-up between feet and metres is why. One caveat that our own page never used to mention: the hotel is seasonal. It reopened on 1 April 2026 and closes over winter, so we confirm the dates before anything is held.
