Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort
On the Sea of Cortez since 1997, this Ty Warner property ranks No. 25 on the 50 Best Hotels 2026 list and holds Two MICHELIN Keys
The Privata Perspective
Las Ventanas al Paraíso has stood on the Sea of Cortez since 1997, at kilometre 19.5 of the Carretera Transpeninsular in San José del Cabo, a 20-minute drive from the airport. It is a Ty Warner property, and in 2026 it ranked No. 25 on the 50 Best Hotels list, with the Highest Climber award, while holding Two MICHELIN Keys. The hotel counts 84 suites and villas, the Ty Warner Mansion among them; the 30 Rosewood Residences are listed separately.
The garden-view, oceanview and oceanfront Junior Suites share one footprint, 960 square feet inside plus 300 square feet outdoors, so outlook is the real choice. Oceanfront puts you beside the sand; Oceanview adds a telescope for whale-watching, and the Los Cabos tourism board runs that season from December through April. Couples should push for the Oceanview Rooftop Terrace Junior Suite: 1,400 square feet indoors and out, with a private rooftop terrace for stargazing and a Jacuzzi on the patio. The twelve Signature Villas, added in 2015, are the step up for families and long stays.
We book it for couples and for travellers who want personal butler service at the scale of 84 keys. Reserve Arbol, which the MICHELIN Guide lists for a menu founded on Indian specialties, and keep a late night for La Botica, where the bartenders build each cocktail from a guest questionnaire. Summer sits inside the eastern Pacific hurricane season, 15 May to 30 November; the winter weeks are the ones to fix early.
