Rosewood Baha Mar
221 keys on Nassau's Cable Beach within the Baha Mar resort, with two pools reserved for Rosewood guests and Daniel Boulud's Café Boulud The Bahamas
The Privata Perspective
Rosewood is the residential-feeling house at Baha Mar, the Cable Beach resort it shares with Grand Hyatt and SLS. It opened in 2018 and runs to 221 keys: 131 rooms plus 90 suites and villas. Wimberly Interiors modelled the rooms on the residential feel of Harbour Island, and the Living Room mural, hand-painted by SilverHill Atelier, borrows the style of the Bahamian painter John Hussey.
The operator's own room descriptions settle the booking. The Ocean View Room and the Premier Ocean View King Room print the same 485 square feet, but the first promises partial ocean views and the second full ones, so the Premier is the one to pay for. Butler service starts at the one-bedroom suites and villas; the Premier Ocean View Grand Suite runs to 1,455 square feet, with a kitchen, a dining room and a 275-square-foot balcony.
We book it for families and golfers. Rosewood runs its own Explorers Club for children, Baha Mar's Jack Nicklaus-designed Royal Blue course and the casino are on the resort, and the Baha Bay water park sits next door, yet two pools stay reserved for Rosewood guests. Dinner is the other reason to stay: Café Boulud The Bahamas cooks through Daniel Boulud's four muses, from La Tradition to Le Voyage.
