Park Hyatt Bangkok
The upper floors of Amanda Levete's shingled Central Embassy tower at the Wireless Road and Phloen Chit corner: 222 rooms and suites by Yabu Pushelberg, a skybridge to the Skytrain and Penthouse Bar + Grill across the top three floors
The Privata Perspective
Park Hyatt Bangkok opened on 12 May 2017 at the top of Central Embassy, the tower that AL_A, Amanda Levete's London studio, wrapped in more than 300,000 aluminium shingles on the former gardens of the British Embassy. Its 222 rooms, 32 of them suites, were designed by Yabu Pushelberg in cream, pale timber, black frames and bronze, every one of them with a city view, a separate soaking tub and rain shower and a double vanity. A skybridge leads from the mall to the BTS at Phloen Chit, a covered walkway to Central Chidlom; the saltwater pool is on the ninth level, PAÑPURI WELLNESS and a 24-hour Technogym gym on the eleventh, and Penthouse Bar + Grill takes the top three floors. The MICHELIN Guide gives the hotel two Keys.
Via Privata stayed one night in September 2026 in a 1 King Bed Deluxe: 55 to 70 square metres with a chaise longue at the window, gold-thread temple screens dividing the desk from the bed, a powder room as well as the bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. The room was very good, breakfast at Embassy Room and a very good dinner at Penthouse Bar + Grill rounded out the stay, and the hotel is the design-led choice in the city centre: the one for Yabu Pushelberg's rooms, the Skytrain through the mall and dinner at the top of the tower.
