Four Seasons opened Shura Island on 22 June 2026, purpose-built with Red Sea Global on the island’s eastern tip and its longest beach. The resort is single-storey throughout — 149 rooms and suites in low clusters, plus 31 Resort Residences that are not hotel keys. It is LEED Platinum, the island runs on renewable energy, and the airport drive is 25 minutes.
Aspect decides the stay, because size does not. Garden-View, Sea-View and Beachfront rooms all print at 55.3 square metres, so the only real difference is what sits outside the door — and only fourteen keys are beachfront against seventy-three facing the garden. Space arrives with the suites.
We book it for families and for divers — the reef, the Marine Discovery Centre and Shura Links are all on the doorstep — and for anyone who wants Saudi Arabia’s west coast without a long transfer. Go in the cooler months either side of summer, and ask for a Beachfront Room the day the booking is confirmed.
