Four Seasons Resort Megève
A December 2017 Four Seasons in Megève — 55 keys, a 900-square-metre spa with six treatment rooms, interiors by Pierre-Yves Rochon
The Privata Perspective
Megève is chalet country, and this is the one address run as a full-service Four Seasons: 55 keys, opened in December 2017, architecture by Bruno Legrand and interiors by Pierre-Yves Rochon working with Ariane de Rothschild. The operator now calls it a Resort; older listings, ours included, carried it as Four Seasons Hotel Megève.
The room mix decides the stay, because it is small in an unusual way. There are four Superior Rooms. Thirteen keys sit in Prestige Room Mountain View, where most guests land, and four of the fourteen suites carry peak names: Rochebrune, Mont d'Arbois, des Aravis, des Alpes. We hold a mountain-view category first.
We book it for skiers who want a hotel rather than a rented chalet, and for families in the July–August walking weeks. One caution on the dates: the resort closes between seasons — mid-December to mid-April, mid-June to mid-September — so shoulder months do not exist here. Dining runs to Brasserie Benjamin, Kaito, Idéal 1850 and a Pop-Up Fondue.
