The Privata Perspective
Four Seasons Resort Marrakech opened in June 2011, built rather than converted — forty acres laid out across from the Menara Gardens, on Hill Glazier's original concept with Didier Lefort as architect and GA Design inside. Palms, pools, fountains and floating pavilions do the work here; the medina is a walk away and the airport ten minutes by car.
The room decides the rest. All 141 keys have a terrace of their own, but the split that matters is between the terrace rooms in the main building and the ground-floor patio categories out in the gardens — and above both, the eight Patio Suites with a private pool, which are the ones clients remember.
We book Marrakech for families, and for couples who want a garden to come back to between the souks, and we book it in spring or in the weeks either side of November. July and August run very hot; two pools and a lot of shade help, but they do not fix it.

Le Spa is a sanctuary of fifteen treatment rooms, inspired by Middle Eastern traditions and contemporary Western treatments. The operator publishes the treatment-room count but no overall floor area, so we quote none; separate male and female wet areas carry sauna, hammam and plunge pools.
