The Privata Perspective

Le Guanahani opens under Airelles on 1 November 2026 as Airelles Le Guanahani, the first Caribbean Maison for a collection whose other addresses are in France and Venice. Before that it was Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth, until Rosewood's management ended on 1 October 2026. The hotel first opened in 1986, closed after Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, and reopened under Rosewood in 2021 after a four-year, property-wide rebuild, with architecture by David M. Schwarz Architects and interiors by Luis Pons Design Lab.

What carries over is the site. The resort spreads over eighteen acres on a private peninsula between Marigot Bay, the Grand Cul-de-Sac and Le Morne, and its two beaches do different jobs. The Grand Cul-de-Sac lagoon is a protected cove inside a natural reserve, shallow enough to wade knee-deep a long way out, with turtles moving through it; Maréchal Beach, on the more natural side of the peninsula, has the ocean views, and the hotel's beach guide under Rosewood marked it for limited swimming. For families, the lagoon is the beach to plan around.

Airelles has not yet published its room categories, restaurants or spa, so this page lists none. Treat any name from the Rosewood years as unconfirmed until Airelles publishes its own, and ask us for the line-up before you book.

Spa and wellness at Airelles Le Guanahani

Airelles has not yet published a spa, treatment menu or wellness programme for Le Guanahani. The spa here under Rosewood carried Rosewood's own brand, so ask us for the Airelles offer before planning a stay around it.
