Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla
A Kelly Wearstler resort between Meads Bay and Barnes Bay, where all one hundred and twenty rooms and suites have private outdoor space
The Privata Perspective
It opened as a Four Seasons in October 2016, between Meads Bay and Barnes Bay, and the design credits tell you what to expect: Kelly Wearstler on interiors, Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo on the resort architecture, Hilgendorf Corporation on the villas.
One hundred and twenty keys — seventy rooms and fifty suites — with villas, townhomes and residences alongside that the count excludes. Read the table: the Ocean-View Room prints two square feet less indoor floor than the Resort-View beneath it, and the whole premium goes on a wider balcony and the water. Deluxe Ocean-View looks at the Bamboo pool and Meads Bay, and the six Ocean-View Rooftop Suites carry nearly as much furnished outdoor living as indoor.
We book it for a Caribbean beach week with a proper hotel behind it rather than a villa and a cook. December to April is the season, and the eight Deluxe Ocean-View Rooms are the smallest of the three room categories — the first we ask for.

Dining
SALT
Modern Caribbean
The resort's Caribbean room and its largest at 150 seats — fresh seafood at dinner, and an Anguillan risotto with local conch and lobster as the signature plate
Lima-Limon
Coastal Mexican and cocktails
Filed by the operator as cocktails first and coastal Mexican second, which is the right way round to read it
Bamboo Bar & Grill
Beach classics
Beside the Bamboo pool that the eight Deluxe Ocean-View Rooms look onto
Sunset Lounge
Drinks and small plates
The operator files it as a lounge rather than a restaurant; eighty-eight seats, and no descriptor published beyond the one above
Spa & Wellness
The spa occupies its own two-storey beachfront building — 8,100 square feet, thirteen indoor treatment rooms, three spa cabanas, three facial rooms and two couples' rooms, alongside salon services and an outdoor infinity pool looking over Meads Bay. Treatment areas run indoors and out.
When to Go
