01Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli
Venice, Italy — April 2026
$$$$$ Orient Express's second hotel — after La Minerva in Rome — takes over a 15th-century palazzo at the meeting of two Cannaregio canals, a 1436 noble residence linked to Filippo Calendario, the architect of the Doge's Palace. Aline Asmar d'Amman, who reworked the Hôtel de Crillon, leads the restoration of 47 rooms, suites and apartments across Neogothic and Baroque interiors. It is the quiet, resident's Venice, well away from San Marco's crush — and it is already taking bookings for April 2026.

04Rosewood Milan
Milan, Italy — 2027 (per Rosewood)
$$$$$ Rosewood takes two 19th-century palaces — Palazzo Branca and the former Banca Commerciale building — on the edge of the Quadrilatero della Moda, steps from Via Montenapoleone. The plan is deliberately intimate for the address: around 70 rooms including some 20 suites, a courtyard-garden restaurant and bar, and an Asaya spa with an indoor pool. Milan has long lacked a hotel to match its fashion pull; this is the one aimed squarely at it. Rosewood's own timeline says 2027, though earlier trade reports floated 2026.

It aims to give La Dolce Vita's most famous street its sharpest modern anchor. Rosewood lists 2027; earlier coverage suggested April 2026.
