One&Only Portonovi opened on 1 May 2021 as the brand's first resort in Europe, at the entrance of Boka Bay on Montenegro's Adriatic coast, and One&Only puts it an hour's drive from Dubrovnik. The MICHELIN Guide gives it Two Keys, and Forbes Travel Guide rates it Five-Star for 2026.
The reason to choose it is Chenot Espace: Portonovi was the first One&Only to offer it, and the World Spa Awards named it World's Best Hotel Spa for 2025. Programmes run from a one-day Chenot Day Spa to the six-day Advanced Detox, and Chenot builds them on medical consultations, diagnostics and a low-calorie, plant-based diet under medical supervision. Decide before booking whether this is a beach week with a spa or a detox with a view, because the two run very differently.
Room choice comes down to the view. The Portonovi Room, the Bayview Room and the Panoramic Bayview Room each give 55 m² inside and 11 m² outside: the Portonovi Room looks to the mountains or the village, the Bayview Room has a partial view of Boka Bay, and the Panoramic Bayview Room's dual-aspect terrace takes in the bay and the Black Mountains, which is why it is the one we ask for. Families have a Two-Bedroom Family Suite, while Suite Two adds a connecting bedroom to Suite One and Suite Three sits on the top floor with a private entrance and lift. The resort keeps going through winter: Sabia, La Veranda and TAPASAKE joined Portonovi's first Restaurant Week in February 2026. Portonovi's marina also hosted Four Seasons I on the yacht's maiden Mediterranean voyage in June 2026.
