The Privata Perspective
The building opened in October 1982, Four Seasons has run it since 1992, and it took the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney name only in 2002 — worth knowing, because the bones are early-eighties and everything laid over them is newer. Five hundred and thirty-one keys at 199 George Street, inside The Rocks with Circular Quay in front.
The room decides the stay. City and harbour categories share the same 26 m² footprint, so the money buys the outlook rather than the floor area — a Deluxe City Room and a Deluxe Full Harbour Room are the same size. Floor area only arrives at the 53 m² studio-suite tier, which is where the Club categories and Lounge 32 begin.
We book it for clients who want a harbour base they can walk out of, and for the weeks that sell out a year ahead — New Year's Eve over the bridge, Vivid in late May. October to March is the Sydney summer; April, May and September are quieter and clearer.
