The Privata Perspective

Four Seasons has run Dogmersfield Park since February 2005 — the rare English country estate in a group built on city houses and island resorts. The manor is Georgian; Nicolas Khalili added the period-style wings and conservatory pool, and RPW Design took the rooms. One hundred and thirty-four keys, 112 rooms and 22 suites, across 500 acres of parkland.

Every standard category runs to the same 45 square metres, so the ladder through the guest rooms is not about floor space — Mews, Garden, Heritage and Manor all print the identical figure. Thirty-five of them are Garden Rooms, the largest single block in the house. Suites start at 67 square metres and finish with the 225-square-metre Royal Suite.

We book it for families, and for clients who want Heathrow close and no city underfoot, in late spring and early autumn when the parkland earns its keep. Wild Carrot and the spa's fifteen rooms get reserved with the room, not on arrival.

Accommodations

Mews Room

45 m² 485 sq.ft.

Three of them, the first row in the portal's guest-room table and the entry category — on the same 45 square metres as every other standard room

Garden Room

45 m² 485 sq.ft.

Thirty-five keys, more than a quarter of the guest rooms, at the same 45 square metres as everything else in the standard table

Park Suite

90 m² 970 sq.ft.

Four of them at 90 square metres — the second size step in the suites, above the 67-square-metre Executive and Belvedere

Royal Suite

225 m² 2,420 sq.ft.

One only, the largest key on the estate, and the one room the fact sheet excludes from the RPW Design brief

Dining

Wild Carrot

Modern British

The principal restaurant, and the room the press office names first; Martin Brudnizki is credited with the dining interiors

Café Santé

Healthy Asian-inspired meals

The press sheet's own description; Richmond International did this room rather than RPW Design

La Terrazza

Not published

The portal files it under restaurants, but neither source publishes a cuisine or a description for it

The Drawing Room

Afternoon tea

A lounge in both sources — the room where afternoon tea is served, forty seats inside

The Pool Bar

Light bites and cocktails

The portal's own descriptor, verbatim; one of four lounges alongside The Library Bar and The Bar at Wild Carrot

Spa & Wellness

The spa occupies the estate's 18th-century stable block: fifteen treatment rooms working with natural products from Sodashi and ESPA. The operator publishes no floor area for it. The press sheet adds an outdoor vitality pool and a quiet central courtyard relaxation area.

When to Go

May–Jun

Late spring — the parkland and gardens at their best, long light evenings

Sep–Oct

Early autumn — colour across the estate and quieter than the summer weeks
