Aman's Caribbean outpost commands dramatic red cliffs above the Dominican Republic's wild north coast, a region that feels worlds away from Punta Cana's all-inclusive strip. Jean-Michel Gathy's casitas are positioned along the cliff edge, each with a private plunge pool cantilevered above the Atlantic. The Tom Fazio golf course — with ocean-edge holes rivalling Pebble Beach in their drama — and the largely empty beaches below (including the legendary Playa Grande) make Amanera unlike any other property in the Aman portfolio.
