Aman-i-Khas
Ten Mughal-inspired luxury tents on the edge of Ranthambore tiger reserve
The Privata Perspective
India's most exclusive safari camp and one of Aman's most intimate properties worldwide. Just ten luxury tents — cotton canvas lined in cream muslin and natural fabrics, with freestanding copper bathtubs and private outdoor dining areas — sit at the very edge of Ranthambore National Park, one of the best places on earth to see wild Bengal tigers in their natural habitat.
The camp operates seasonally, from October through April, when the dry winter conditions concentrate wildlife around water sources and dramatically increase tiger-sighting probabilities. Aman's naturalist guides — among the most experienced in Ranthambore — lead twice-daily game drives in open safari vehicles, tracking not only tigers but leopards, sloth bears, marsh crocodiles, and over 300 bird species across the park's dramatic landscape of ruined forts, lakes, and deciduous forest.
The communal campfire dinners, where all ten tents gather beneath a canopy of stars for Rajasthani and Mughlai cuisine prepared over open flames, create an atmosphere of shared adventure that is unique in the Aman portfolio. This is not a property for those seeking isolation — it is an intimate camp where fellow travellers share the day's sightings over candlelight and the sounds of the jungle.

An open-air spa tent provides Ayurvedic treatments — oil massage, herbal compresses, and Shirodhara — in the most elemental setting imaginable: canvas walls, the sounds of the forest, and the possibility (not uncommon) of wildlife passing within earshot during your treatment.
